Lô Borges - ‘Aos Barões’

Lô Borges

Sifting through great Brazilian records from yesteryear I came across a stunning 15-track album by Lô Borges. My list of favorite Brazilian artists is growing at a steady rate, and Lô Borges, like the likes of Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil and Gal Costa, never lets me down. Although it’s from 1972, the self-titled LP sounds like it could be fresh off the press, but I suppose the steadfast classiness should have been a tip-off that it’s almost forty years old. Oddly enough, I was first introduced to Lô Borges quite anachronistically by Phoenix with their Kitsune Tabloid release last year. Just sit back, relax and unwind with this grooving track from the old Brazilian mestre.
