MondayMix: El Tres de Mayo
I don’t know if I should, but I feel like summer is nearly upon us. The mercury is slowly creeping up when our backs are turned so I’ve responded with a few pacy, energetic selection of songs to kick off the week (and the summery weather). We’ve got a song from Brazilian singer Vanessa da Mata and a classy b-side off Two Door Cinema Club’s “I Can Talk” single release (and apparently the Japanese version of “Tourist History” as well). I also came across a tight Lupe Fiasco/Empire Of The Sun mash-up from Ha! Yes and another Phoenix remix courtesy of Alex Metric. Add in a track from Chilean hip-hop maestro Latin Bitman’s “Colour,” a couple remixes including Spain’s La Bien Querida and Passion Pit, a catchy tune off Kitsuné Maison #9 and a new song from Tokyo Police Club’s “Champ” and you have this week’s mix. Check it!
