Ra Ra Riot - Massachusetts (Kisses Remix)

Ra Ra Riot recently released a super smooth remix of their tune ‘Massachusetts’ crafted by Los Angeles’ Kisses. Slowed down and mellowed out, the duo’s reworking of the track comes just in time, bringing some of Southern California’s sunshine up to Massachusetts through May’s earliest rays. Mighty fine sunshine.

MondayMix: 10/18

This week’s mix kicks off with one of my favorite new bands, LA’s Kisses, except this time they’re remixed by Active Child. Generationals follow suit with a splendid track off their upcoming Trust EP. Once again, Blackbird Blackbird is in on the action; here’s a tune off his Seeing Suge collab with Emay and Star Slinger—grab their first single “Breaking” here. At the beginning of the year I was really into Australian electropop duo Empire Of The Sun. They’re probably the most remixed group of the past few months but I still enjoy Andre Anjos’ recently finished remix of Walking On A Dream. Baltimore’s Rapdragons and Moss of Aura join up and drop it like it’s hot with a sweet remix of She Got Me. Next up is a tune off Ocean Age’s Forest, entitled Hopscotch. Is Tropical, Brazil’s DJ Dolores and Mexico’s Piyama Party (with Pipe Llorens) round out this week’s mix. Enjoy!

Kisses - Bermuda (Active Child Remix)

Generationals - Trust

Blackbird Blackbird - Little Respect

Empire of the Sun - Walking On A Dream (RAC Mix)

Rapdragons - She Got Me (Moss of Aura Remix)

Ocean Age - Hopscotch

Is Tropical - South Pacific

DJ Dolores - Matilha (Pack of Dogs)

Piyama Party - Rapera (featuring Pipe Llorens)

A New Mix to Start Off the Week!

It’s been too long. After weeks of ruthless gallivanting, here’s ten fresh tracks to start off the week. First some Daytrotter Sessions from the Brazilian Curumin and LA’s Princeton. I’ve tossed in one of the many remixes of Miike Snow’s ‘Animal’ that are circling the interwebs these days and a track by Malians Amadou and Mariam from a few years back. Also, here’s my favourite tune off The Black Key’s latest album Brothers, the hazy combination of Basque band Delorean and The XX. Add in some remixed Chiddy Bang, Crystal Castles, some Belgian electronic hip-hop courtesy of Stromae and a track off LA duo Kisses’ new album The Heart of the Nightlife and you’ve got yourself a beat-bopping mix.

Curumin - ‘Magrela Fever’

Princeton - ‘Stunner Shades In Heaven’

Miike Snow - ‘Animal (Mark Ronson Remix)’

Amadou & Mariam - ‘Sénégal Fast Food’

The Black Keys - ‘Tighten Up’

The XX - ‘Islands (Delorean Remix)’

Chiddy Bang - ‘Stylo’

Crystal Castles - ‘Black Panther’

Stromae - ‘Te Quiero’

Kisses - ‘People Can Do The Most Amazing Things’
