Selebrities - Born Killers (Spanish Version)

Brooklyn-based four-piece Selebrities are back with their second full-length Lovely Things, following up 2011’s Delusions. The wonderfully romantic, 80s-infused album is out now on Cascine. Today, Selebrities released an alternate version of their track ‘Born Killers’ off the LP. The band’s vocalist Maria Usbeck goes back to her Ecuadorian roots— delivering a swoon-worthy, spanish new wave ballad b-side.

Celista - Brooklyn

A new gem finds its way. From a far off place, fugacious producer Celista returns. Shrouded in a veil of loosely defined escapism, the mysterious project cannot be pinned to a map. In the fall, Celista released its debut EP. Now, as winter turns spring, Celista resurfaces bringing a new downtempo dream, ‘Brooklyn,’ to my inbox, to my ears. Following songs like ‘Endless Day’ and ‘Warm Autumn,’ it’s the first single off Celista’s upcoming full length which is planned to drop later this year.

MINKS - By The Hedge

Brooklyn-based duo MINKS are set to release their first full-length, By The Hedge, on January 12th via Captured Tracks. The twelve-track album will feature a few previously released songs off their Funeral Song and Ophelia 7”s from earlier this year. From the label: “With the release of “By The Hedge,” MINKS further the ability to make you feel eternal autumn. Frontman and songwriter Sean Kilfoyle’s ability to capture the raincoat grey Boston mornings of his youth, have the desire to make you feel like you are listening to a dream while awake and standing in the pouring rain. Put on your raincoat and enjoy the splendor.” Check out two tunes off By The Hedge below, they’re rather swell.
